Backstory[]
Silena was born into a Capitol family that "sucked up" to the influential and wealthy, hoping that they would gain some power and wealth themselves. Both of her parents had been Peacekeepers but quit due to the birth of Silena's elder brother, Aeryon.
Aeryon was two years older than Silena. However, their parents were already setting up to put the Capitol ideals into his head. They were also making preparations for his training as a Peacekeeper.
When Silena was born, their desires were the same. They would train her alongside her brother, hoping that she would accept the ideals of the Capitol too.
As they grew up, both children were initally happy with the training. But it wouldn't last long. Silena discovered for herself the true nature of the Capitol; the starving and poor that were hidden as much as possible. She also witnessed families being punished for petty reasons.
She was under the belief that everyone was being cared for, but seeing the starving citizens and the punished families proved that wrong.
By this point, Silena had already been taken on as a somewhat "junior" Peacekeeper. Feeling sympathy for the weak and defenseless, she quit her position and left the district, knowing that her qutting her position was a dangerous move and that her parents would have disowned her already for it.
She left for District 10, aspiring to join the rebel cause. She also did not mind the idea of entering the Games, because she would vow to win on behalf of the rebels and the poor.
Personality[]
Silena is a good natured person, feeling sympathy for those who are weak and are unable to stand up for themselves. She can also be very silent, having had to be quiet during some moments of her training as a Peacekeeper.
Strengths and weaknesses[]
Her strengths are that she is a fast runner, she has a lot of stamina and she can fight. Her weaknesses are that she can't use much weaponry as she hasn't handled anything other than a gun, she can't swim and she hasn't got much plant knowledge.
